Alba di Canazei / Crepa Neigra 1.485m/2.485m
One thousand vertical metres over 2.1 km distance, the course travels along the Crepa Neigra trail - some stretches with a 30% incline, or more. The world record stands at 34’51” (Marco De Gasperi , Val d’Isère, France, 2002) at a speed of 1,702 m/h.
Start
Mass start limited to 100 competitors. Over that figure, the start may be timed or in heats based ranking.
Equipment
Compulsory equipment: cyclist’s bib, shorts and running, skyrunning or fell running shoes. Ski poles may be used but no service is available for collection and return.
Course
The course travels along the trail leading to Monte Crepa Neigra over steep inclines above Alba di Canazei. The course is marked with flags and an aid station is posted at the summit. The descent is on foot to Ciampac at 2,150m where the cable car descends.
Rules
Outside assistance or runners not in the race accompanying contestants are not allowed. The SkyGames and FSA/Skyrunning rules apply.
